in this video will show you how you can useseo by yoast to create a seo friendly content for your website. ok, let's get started!after you've installed seo by yoast, inside the publish box you will now see your seostatus as you can see mine is green which means everything is good keep in mind thatthis is just a guide so even if you end up with the yellow then that's okay too, it'snot the end of the world but of course you should aim for green. if your seo status anyother color then i recommend you review your content and make the required changes to atleast get it to yellow. keep in mind that you need to write your content for peopleso in the end it needs makes sense and be easy to read, this means that sometimes youneed to sacrifice a green circle for a yellow
one. if you scroll down to the bottom of thepage you will see that you now have a wordpress seo by yoast box. i just want to quickly pausethe video to go through the two different versions of the plugin to prepare you forthe future. a few days after i finish recording this video an update to the plugin was releasedwhich gave it a slightly different look. now, i'm not sure how the plugin will look likeby the time you see this training video so i want to explain the similarities betweenthese two versions to prepare you for any future updates. in the first screenshot youwill notice that there is a seo title and meta description box, in the second screenshotyou will notice that these boxes have been removed. the way that the seo title and metadescription is modified in the second screenshot
is by clicking directly onto the text here.another thing that is slightly different and that we will be discussing later in this videois the page analysis. in the first screenshot there is a page analysis tab at the top, however,on the second screenshot the page analysis is now called content analysis and is shownon the main screen instead of in a tab. as you can see, the slight differences are fairlyeasy to understand and the way the plugin works will always be the same. now, that we'vegot this out of the way, let's go back to where we left off. the snippet preview showsyou how your page or post will show up in google. this heading writing is obtained fromthe seo title box down here. and the writing below it is obtained from the meta descriptionbox the focus keyword is what you want to
rank for, in this example i want the pageto show up when people search for anything that contains multiple firefox browsers. thislittle section down here shows where my focus keyword was found and how many times it wasfound. it is important that you put your keyword in all of the locations listed here. if yourkeyword is not found in one of these locations then the writing will be red instead of green.i am now going to show you exactly where you need to place your focus keyword so that yourpage or post receives a good seo status. in the seo title, in the meta description, inthe page or post title, in the url address and multiple times within the content. one,two, three, four, five, six, take note that this is a header to tag. this is shown uphere, where it says header 2 and seven. all
up i mention my keyword seven times withinthe content. now we're missing in alt tag since i don't have an image within the contenti'm going to put my focus keyword inside the featured image. just so i can show you howto do this, i'm going to remove this image and re-add it and here is my focus keyword again under thealt text. just for those who don't know the alt text is, the alt text that is shown whenan image cannot be found, you can also sometimes see it in a little yellow box when you hoveryour mouse over an image. in terms of seo, crawlers cannot actually see images so theyuse the alt text to determine what the images about. now scroll back down to the wordpressseo by yoast box and near the top of the box
you will see page analysis. now if you clickon it, you are shown all the things that you have done well and all the things you canimprove on. again, yellows are not so bad and even though i have a few yellows, i managedto get an overall score of green. this was shown at the start of this video. if you haveany reds or any oranges you definitely need to make some changes but if you have readableand nicely structured content and if you place your focus keyword in the same places thati placed mine then you shouldn't have a problem. as i have an overall green seo status i'mgoing to leave this post as it is and not bother with those yellow circles. again, thisis just a guide and just because you have a green overall seo status on every singlepage, it doesn't mean that you will rank on

hi guys it's martie here from martiedread.com,and in this video we're going to be covering 10 free wordpress plugins that i think everyoneshould know about. okay. so i've been using wordpress myselffor over 5 years now, and in this time i've noticed that there are 10 plugins that i seemto install on every site i build. these are some of the best wordpress pluginsi've come across, and i highly recommend that you consider installing them on your site. they are all free, and all available to downloadright from within our wordpress dashboard. so without making you wait any longer. here are 10 free wordpress plugins i thinkeveryone should know about, along with why
i recommend them, and how to set them up. in the 10th spot we have the �insert headers& footers� plugin. this plugin, once installed allows us to quicklyand easily add different tracking codes to our wordpress site without ever having toedit our theme files. these tracking codes are used for linkingthings like google analytics and google adsense to our site. with this plugin, all we need to do is hoverover where it says �settings� on the left-hand side of our dashboard and click �insertheaders & footers�. now we can just copy and paste any of thetracking codes we want to add, and then save
our changes. next in the list at number 9 is a plugin called�lazy load�. so normally when we visit a page on a website,all of the images on that page are loaded up at the same time. this can sometimes have a very negative effecton the pages loading times, especially if it's a page with a lot of images on it. but when we install the �lazy load� plugin.it changes it so that only the images that will be visible load up at first, then aswe scroll down the page the other images will load up as they're needed.
another great thing about this plugin is thatit needs absolutely no set up at all, we literally just install and activate the plugin, andall of our images will be �lazy� from now on. so there's no reason for you not to have thisplugin installed. it's free, it has no set up, and can dramaticallydecrease your sites loading times. now moving onto the 8th plugin on this list,which is a plugin called �wp smush�. the �wp smush� plugin gives us the abilityto compress the file size of any images we have on our site. without affecting the qualityof the images themselves. compressing the images on our site can reallyhelp with our sites overall loading times,
and even more so when used along with the�lazy load� plugin that we just covered. once the plugin is installed. we just needto hover our mouse over where it says �media� on the left-hand side of our dashboard andclick �wp smush�. then when we click �bulk smush now� theplugin will start going through all of our different images and compressing them forus. we don't need to do anything else. then one it's finished it will show us howmuch space we managed to save using the plugin. this is definitely a must have plugin forall wordpress users and i would recommend installing it on your site as soon as youget the chance. the next plugin on this list, coming in atnumber 7 is called �link checker�.
using the �link checker� plugin we cancheck all of the links on our site to make sure they're working properly, and if anyof them are broken the plugin will let us know. this is especially handy when we publish anew piece of content, or before launching a brand new site for the first time. not only is it good practice to check thatthe links are working for user experience, but also too many broken links can negativelyaffect how our site performs in the search results. so it's always best to double check.
after we install the plugin. we just needto click where it says �link checker� in the left-hand dashboard menu, and then�check your website� up at the top. the plugin will then start crawling all ofthe different links on our site and return any that are showing errors. it will also show us where the broken linksare so we can go and fix them. now moving onto plugin number 6 on this list,which is a plugin called �black studio tinymce widget�. this plugin might have a super hard name totry and remember, but never the less, this plugin is a great one to have installed onyour site.
it allows us to have all the functionalityof the wordpress page editor in our sidebars, and other widget areas. this means we can easily add images, links,and whole lot more to our widget areas, without having to mess around with any html coding. all we need to do after installing the plugin,is drag the �visual editor� widget into any of our sites widget areas, and we'll seethat we now have the same options and tools as we would have, if we were adding a pageor a post. we're now halfway through this list whichmeans we are moving onto plugin number 5. this plugin is called �q2w3 fixed widget�and it's a super simple, but very useful plugin
that allows us to make certain widgets onour site �sticky� (or �fixed). a sticky, or fixed widget is one that willremain on screen and in view even when the user scrolls past it. if used on a widget in our sites sidebar,the widget will basically stick to the top of screen and scroll with the page. the plugin works great for adding optin formsto the bottom of our sidebar. this way when we publish a post or a page that's longerthan our sidebar, our visitor will always be able to see our optin form. once the plugin has been installed, we canhead on over to our �widget areas� to
set it up. all we need to do is decide which widgetswe want to make �sticky�, and underneath we will now see there's a check-box labelled�fixed widget�. now we just need to �check� the box andsave our changes. then when we visit our site we'll see thatthe widget is now �sticky�) so just before we move onto the next plugin. i wanted to take a quick second to ask youto consider subscribing to my channel here on youtube if you've enjoyed this video sofar. this way you will be notified when i releasemore videos.

left-hand dashboard menu. then from here we can either edit the defaultform that is already here, or click �add new� up at the top to add another form. the default form that's already here whenwe install the plugin is normally suitable for most things. it includes fields for the visitors name,email address, the subject of their message, and then their message. there's already a lot of tutorials here onyoutube on creating and editing custom forms with �contact form 7�, so i'm not goingto be covering that in this video.
although if you do get stuck, feel free toleave a comment underneath and i'll try my best to help you. then once we are happy with our form, we canjust copy what's known as the forms �shortcode� and then paste it into any of our pages orposts, or we can add it to our widget areas using the �plain text widget�. the �contact form 7� plugin isn't onlyone of my favourite plugins of all time, but it's also currently active on more than 1million wordpress sites at the time of making this video. so you know they must be doing something rightif that many people are using it.
the next plugin we're going to be lookingat, which is number 3 on this list. is a plugin called �backwpup�. as the name suggests, this plugin allows usto back up our wordpress sites, making sure that we don't ever lose any of our hard work. all we need to do after installing the plugin,is click �backwpup� in the left-hand dashboard menu, and then click underneath where it says�add new job�. here we can give the backup a name, choosewhat files we want to be backed up, the file type for our backup, and where we'd like thebackups to be saved or sent to. there's a whole heap of different optionsfor where to save our backups to, including
having them sent to us by email, or savedto dropbox. then we can just click where it says �savechanges� at the bottom when we're happy. when we save our changes, we just need toclick at the top where it says �run now� this will then backup our files and save,or send them to wherever we specified. the �backwpup� plugin is always a goodone to have just in case, and can definitely save you from losing all your hard work tosome freak accident or a hacker. we're nearing the end of this list now, andcoming in at number 2 is an awesome plugin called �coming soon cc�. this plugin allows us to add a really nicelooking �coming soon� or �under construction�
page to our site within a couple of minutes. the best part about this plugin is it allowsus to collect emails from people while we are working on our site, and we get sent anemail every time someone subscribes. we don't need to link this up to our emailservice provider or anything like that, everything's done by the plugin itself. once we install and activate the plugin, wejust need to hover our mouse over where it says �settings� in the left-hand dashboardmenu and click �coming soon cc�. here we just need to click �customize�on the first template to edit our coming soon page.
now we do need to upgrade the plugin if wewant to use any of the other templates, but in my opinion the free one looks the best. once we click �customize� we can add ourlogo, along with any text and images we want on our coming soon page. once we are happy with everything we justneed to click �save & close� at the top and the page will be live on our site. now when anyone tries to visit any page onour site, they will instead be redirected to this coming soon page. we won't be able to see the coming soon pageourselves when we're logged in, and this is
so we can continue to work on our site. but if we log out, and then try to visit anyof the pages on our site, we'll be brought to the coming soon page instead. this is an awesome plugin to have set up whenwe are first building our site, and also when we need to make any major changes. that's why i gave the �coming soon cc�plugin the number 2 spot. then finally the last plugin on this list,in first place, is a plugin called �yoast seo�. the �yoast seo� plugin comes with a tonof different tools that will help us get our
site ranking better in the search engines. these tools include things an xml sitemapgenerator, a google snippet preview, on-page seo analysis, and a lot, lot, more. now there are far too many different partsto this plugin for me to cover here in this top 10 video, but once again a quick searchon youtube will bring back plenty of in depth tutorials on setting it up. i would definitely say that if you were toonly install one plugin from this list, you should make it this one. having our website or blog optimized properlyfor the search engines can make a huge difference

four instances right here so someone goesto a particular page you can automate say sending them a message if you get to the osor email sending them an email and if someone visits for the first time someone returnsyour website and if you don't respond so say someone chat you and you can have it sendthem a message after some. of time if you're not able to get back to them such a look atsome of the action so let's guard your freckled on this when someone opens a page so let'sjust say this say that the page would you wanted to be specific page and then so tedthis is by default saying 10 seconds after due this action of it you can change this,click on okay and here's the different actions that you can do you can send a chat messagesend an email added tag and remove the tag
